Tammy Bendall – Metro Peterborough

Tammy is a unionized retail worker at Metro in Peterborough and has been at the store for more than 33 years and works in the produce department.

Tammy says the best thing about her job is getting to interact with customers. She has built a strong relationship with many of them who come to see her on a regular basis. It makes her job so much more enjoyable.

Tammy says working in a Unionized store is important because it gives you job security. She finds it very beneficial that the Union educates her about her rights in the workplace because the more you know about your rights as an employee, the more empowered you are as a membership. She also enjoys sharing the information she learns amongst her coworkers.
