Shirley Desroches at Post Foods

Shirley Desroches is a member who has worked at Post Foods in Cobourg for about four years. At the plant, Shirley work as a Packaging Line Operator on the Weetabix Biscuit Line – just one of many products produced by the members at Post Foods. 

Shirley enjoys working with her team members and says that she appreciates the team comradery with the other members on the Weetabix packaging line, and is proud of the product they make.

Shirley is glad that she belongs to a Union. “I like the fact that someone is available when I need answers and guidance on any issues or concerns that I may have,” she said. “Also having ‘just cause’ protection and a voice that will speak on your behalf.” Shirley hopes to take advantage of the Union’s online training in the future. 

In her spare time, Shirley enjoys going to the cottage with family, fishing, and entertaining or hosting events for family and friends. Shirley is the proud mother of two children who also loves spending time with her husband and two dogs.
