Elmer Miniano – Jolibee Fast Food

Elmer is a unionized service worker at Jollibee Fast Food restaurant in Toronto. With 70 stores in North America and 1300 stores across the globe.  Jollibee – Wilson Station is the only unionized store in North America.

Elmer has been with the employer since July 2019 and has spent many years in the food industry and was a chef at a Steakhouse back in the Philippines.  Elmer is currently part of the Production Crew and a Crew Trainer at Jollibee.  He works in kitchen production, on the fryer and says that he enjoys working at Jollibee and likes the overall environment, especially his colleagues.

Elmer likes belonging to the Union because he feels secured and protected.  He was a supporter of the Union when his workplace decided to organize in 2020.  Elmer has been a member of the negotiating committee in both sets of bargaining since they organized and was instrumental on the negotiating committee with the ratification of their 1^st renewal contract.
