More than 40 members who work at Havelock Foodland secured a new three-year collective agreement at a meeting held June 15.

End rates increase by between 40 cents and 65 cents per hour over the term of the agreement depending on classification.

The uniform allowance increases to provide an additional $10 toward pants, bringing the allowance to $50, and $15 more toward safety shoes which brings the allowance to $115 per 24-month period.

Language improvements allow sick days to be used for approved other absences, and workers receive 100% drug coverage with a $4 deductible per prescription.
