Quinte Humane Society ratifies increases in new three-year collective agreement
Members working at Quinte Humane Society in Belleville ratified a three-year agreement on April 5, 2024. Employees with three or more years of service will receive wage increases of 12% over the course of the agreement.
All employees will receive a health spending account lump sum payment in January 2025 of $300, and in January 2026 an additional $350.
Language improvements include an increase in the uniform allowance to $175 and a shoe allowance will be introduced at $50 yearly. Members will also be eligible for eight hours off with pay to attend to a pet emergency or death (including vet visits).
