Ontario Addiction Treatment Centres across the province ratify

The members at OATC in Ontario ratified a new three-year agreement on March 31, 2022.
Wage increases will be: Year 1 -3%, Year 2 -2% and Year 3 – 2% across the board in each year including red-circled members. There will be a one-time wage adjustment for all support staff of $0.35 effective date of expiration, including red-circled members. A new weekend premium of $0.50 for all hours worked will be added.
Health and Welfare improvements will see full-time members provided with a health spending account of up to $1500 per calendar year up from $750 and part-time up to $1000 per calendar year up from $500.
The employer will match RRSP contributions 1% after 1 year of service and new language will provide for a 0.5% increase to 1.5% after 3 years and a 1% increase to 2% after 5 years.
Other language improvements will see part-time workers who are moving to full-time credited with 100% of service up from 50%. There will be two additional bereavement days added and members are eligible for $350 per year for professional development up from $150. Gender neutrality will be reflected throughout the agreement.
