NIE members ratify yearly increases and to recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

The members at NIE Plus in Wellandport ratified a 5-year agreement on March 16, 2022.
Wages will see an increase of 2% in each year of the Collective Agreement. A re-work of the current wage grid will result in increases ranging between $1.25/hr to $10.80/hr.
The National Day of Truth and Reconciliation will be recognized as a new stat holiday. Language improvements were negotiated throughout the collective agreement. It is now in line with standard terms and articles to ensure clarity and the best language for our members.
