New contract at Amalgamated Transit Union

The new three-year contract for the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) bargaining unit was ratified on January 2, 2019.

The new agreement provides wage increases of 2% in each year.

The Union negotiating committee achieved a new complete benefit plan instead of the previous health care spending account. In addition, language now provides for an extra paid day off each year for the employee’s birthday, which can be taken at any time.
