Members in Sudbury at Parmalat/Lactalis ratify new deal

The members at Parmalat/Lactalis ratified a new 3-year collective agreement on July 21, 2021. Wage increases are as follows: Year One – 1.75%, Year Two – 1.8% and Year Three – 1.9% for all full and part time members. There will also be a new premium of $1.00/hour for all hours worked in processing.

Pension improvements include an increase in year one to $84 per month per year of service, $85 in year two and then $86 in year three.

Benefits improvements will see the dental increased to $1100 dollars up from $1000. LTD will increase to $2550 from $2400. Vision allowance increases to $275 from $250 and 100% eye exam coverage every 24 months.

Other monetary improvements include: AZ drivers will receive $300 per year to maintain their license and the work boots allowance will increase to $250 dollars per year.

The agreement will now include language for part-time workers to specify a time frame to become full-time.
