Members at Wolseley in Milton ratify a three-year deal, gain more than 14% in wage increases

On December 17, 2022, the 115 members working full-time at Wolseley in Milton ratified a three-year collective agreement.

Wage improvements include:

  • 8% across the board in year one, retroactive to October 1, 2022;
  • 3.5% across the board in year two, and;
  • 3.5% across the board in year three.

Members also receive a signing bonus of $500.

During the previous term, the Union and employer reached an agreement in regards to the core health and welfare plan to be offered with the employer covering the cost. Previously, there was a 50/50 co-pay.

The negotiating committee worked diligently on language adjustments including obligations to meet and discuss ‘state of emergency language’ and ‘pandemic language.’ There has been new language added for work assignments as well as election protocols for Steward and Health & Safety Committee elections to be held in the workplace.
