Members at Queenchester Terrace ratify first collective agreement unanimously

The newly organized members at Queenchester Terrace in St. Catharines ratified their first collective agreement on March 8, 2022 with a three-year term.
Wage improvements will be $.50 per hour at date of ratification and 1.5% in each year of the agreement with a $250.00 signing bonus.

Other language achievements:

• paid overtime after 84 hours biweekly
• paid bereavement leave of 3 days
• improved vacation language of 6% after 3 years
• paid breaks
• job posting language
• seniority language for vacation and job posting
• having union representation in cases of discipline

These new members are overjoyed seeing the benefits of belonging to a union, having a voice and knowing their rights in their workplace.
