Members at Primo Foods in Toronto ratify new agreement

On August 29, 2021 the members at Primo Foods in Toronto ratified a new four-year agreement with increases of Year 1- $.30 retroactive, Year 2 – $.30, Year 3 – $.30 and in Year 4 – $.40. Additionally, there will be adjustments to three classifications at the date of ratification which will range from $.50 to $5.00. There will also be increases to the afternoon night shift premium.

Pension language will now incorporate more junior employees. The Dental cap will increase from $1600 to $1700. Other increases are chiropractic to $400 up from $300 and the physiotherapy allowance will increase from $550 to $650.

Language improvements include an extra 2% on vacation entitlement, boot allowance increases from $150 to $200, vision coverage increases to $300 up from $250 and the agreement will now include language to allow for stewards to meet new hires.
