Members at Golden Boy Foods vote to ratify new agreement.

The 44 employees at Golden Boy Foods in Markham ratified a three-year deal on April 11, 2021.

There will be a 2% wage increase for all classifications as well as $750 per year for all employees off the grid. Language was negotiated to ensure a minimum wage gap to the end rates of all classifications. There is an increase in the shift premium for night shift employees. The employer will reclassify members on each shift to ensure they are receiving the higher rate.

An extra week of summer vacation bid preference was added as well as language to include any new stat holidays. Language was also established for contributions to the Training and Education Fund and the employer will contribute $200 per year. The Company also agreed to pay for the committee members wages for negotiations.
