Members at Bearskin Airlines ratify

UFCW Local 175 - Bearskin Airlines TimminOn March 1, 2018, members of Local 175 working at Bearskin Airlines in Timmins achieved a new collective agreement.

The three-year term includes end rate increases of 2% in years one and two, and 2.5% in year three. In addition, the training premium improves to $1.50 per hour, up from 50 cents.

Members were happy to achieve a new dress shoe allowance of $50 per year. This amount will increase to $55 in year two, and $60 in year three. Lastly, the committee had language added to the agreement that recognizes Family Day as a paid statutory holiday.
