Employees at Material Recovery in Grafton have a new three-year agreement.

Wages for the Members increase by a total of 4.5% over the term of the contract. Other monetary improvements include the removal of the cap for Massage Therapy, and a increase of that coverage to $300 per year. In addition, part-time employees now receive reimbursement of up to $500 per year, for all benefits expenses, with receipt, except prescription drugs.

The Union Negotiating Committee achieved a letter of understanding that creates a part-time Lead position. Also, Stewards will receive one day paid leave every second year to attend Union training. Lastly, bereavement of one day now includes nieces and nephews.

Members approved the new agreement at a ratification vote held February 26, 2018.

Union Negotiating Committee: Jason Leavitt, Tracy Shutler, and Union Rep Dean McLaren.
