Martindale Gardens unanimously ratifies new deal with special wage increases for all

The members in Milton employed at Martindale Gardens Retirement home unanimously ratified a three-year agreement on December 7, 2022.

These members will receive general wage increases in all three years of 2%. In addition, they achieved significant special wage increases over the three-year term in ALL classifications of: Concierge: 8.5%, Dishwasher: 8.5%, Server: 8%, Cook: 13.7%, RPN: 18.4%, PSW: 17.7% and MCP: 18.6%.

Additional improvements include a $1/hr premium for cooks who are in possession of a red seal certificate, an increase in vision care by $25 and a reduction in probationary hours from 600 hours to 450 hours.
