Local 175 members at CFB Borden ratify wage increases and language improvements

Canadian Forces Base Borden members in Angus ratified a three-year agreement on September 13, 2023. Wage increases include Year 1 – 3% retroactive, Year 2 – 2% and Year 3 – 2%.

Language improvements include:

  • The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Day will be added to the list of holidays.
  • Shoe Allowance will increase from $165 to $185 yearly/seasonally for member who work summer and winter.
  • Part time vacation pay from 4.25% net to 4.6% gross.
  • Part-time will receive one personal leave day.
  • All new members will be provided with a training plan in writing at the time of hire.
  • Employer contribution to the Training and Education will increase from $500 to $600 annually.
