On September 3, 2016, the members of Local 175 employed at the Days Inn & Suites in Sault Ste. Marie, ratified a new collective agreement.

The three-year contract includes a 1.5% wage increase in each year of the term, and the length of the probationary period for new hires is reduced to 50 days. Improved language means room attendants will be assigned a maximum of 15 rooms, instead of the previous 16, to clean during an 8-hour shift. Bereavement leave language also improves.
