Holiday inn Milton ratifies – Hospitality workers secure wage and benefit improvements
Holiday Inn Milton hospitality members ratified a three-year agreement on January 29, 2024.
Members hired prior to 2020 will see wages increase $1.00/hour retroactive to the date of expiry, July 27 2023. Year 2 and Year 3 – $0.50/hour with additional minimum wage plus protection language.
Workers hired after 2020 will receive wage increases of $0.50/hour retroactive to date of expiry and Year 2 and Year 3 – $0.25/hour with additional minimum wage plus protection.
Other improvements include an increase of one day in sick time yearly increasing from 3 to 4 days, and after four years of service the employer will pay 100% of the health and welfare benefit costs. There will also be a new letter of understanding added re: Pay Equity.
