Fundraiser for Holden a success!

On Sept 16, 2018, the Local Union participated in a fundraiser for long time Member, Steward and H&S advocate Cheryl Smigelski from Zehrs #523 in Kitchener. Cheryl’s five-year-old grandson Holden has Lesch-Nyhan Syndrome, a rare condition that is caused by a gene mutation.
The fundraiser was held to help get Holden a much-needed new seat which costs about $7,700. We are happy to report that the fundraising goal for the day was exceeded! Thank you to everyone who participated.
