First Student Canada members in Kenora ratify

The four-year agreement that was ratified on September 9, 2021 by First Student members in Kenora will have increases of: Year 1 – 3% , Year 2 – 4% , Year 3 – 3% and Year 4 – 3%.
Mileage will increase from $.25 to $.27 and the wheelchair premium will now be $2.50 up from $2.00. Snow and foul weather days increased from 50% to 75%. There will be a 4% increase in training & accident re-evaluation, safety meeting, and bus washing rates to $17.59. Time spent in Health & Safety meetings will also now be paid at $17.59. Per diems will increase for breakfast from $12.00 to $15.00 and dinner $25.00 to $30.00.
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation will be added to the list of stat holidays, and Easter Monday will be substituted for Canada Day. There will be a new tier added to vacation language at 15 years – 10%.
Other language improvements include that the charter schedule will now broken down by day instead of by week. The seniority will be based on original date of hire and will be updated whenever a change occurs.
