Dainty Foods in Windsor ratifies and eliminates a second tier

Dainty Foods members in Windsor ratified a new three-year agreement on March 12, 2022. Wages increase for employees hired before March 6, 2012 in Year 1 – $500.00 lump sum, Year 2 – $0.35, Year 3 – $0.40. Employees hired after March 6, 2012 along with the deletion of the 2nd tier Annex will receive $0.50 per hour in each year over the 3-year term.
A letter of agreement for Maintenance workers will provide for an increase of 5% when the average wage of Maintenance workers in other plants in the area go up 5%.
In addition to CCWIPP the employer will match employee contributions of $0.35 per hour to an RRSP, a $0.05 per hour increase.
Members can now use seven personal days as sick days and the removal of the Annex will give employees hired after March 6, 2019 full benefits. There are language improvements for vacation, bereavement and language that limits the number of temporary workers that can be at the plant.
