CSH Meadowbrook workers achieve wage improvements and additional premiums through HLDAA

A Hospital Labour Dispute Arbitration Act award dated March 18, 2024 provides the retirement home members in Lively at Chartwells Meadowbrook a new two-year collective agreement with a 6.5% increase in wages over the term of the agreement. The award also decreases the wage grid from seven steps to fours steps and from five years down to two years to reach end rate.

Effective March 18, 2024, a 10-cent evening and weekend premium was introduced.

Effective October 1, 2024, the RRSP contribution will increase by 1% to go from a 2% employer match to a 3% employer match contribution.

The vision care benefit will increase from $200 to $250 every 24 months.
