Contract ratified at Young Star House

Members at Young Star House in Emo ratified a new agreement on December 6, 2017.
The negotiating committee achieved a new wage grid that provides additional adjustments to keep rates ahead of the provincial minimum wage. As a result, members receive substantial increases. The top rate receives an additional 25 cents per hour in each year of the contract term.
In addition, Members benefit from improved RRSP employer contribution matching of $100, up from $70. This results in a new maximum of $1,200 per year instead of the previous $840 annual max.
