Compass Group South Lake members secure new agreement

On March 7, 2019, the members of UFCW Local 175 working for Compass Group South Lake in Newmarket achieved a new collective agreement.
The 44 full-time employees achieved wage increases in each year of the three-year term. Effective ratification, all members will see a significant raise of 3.51%. Members will then see increases of 1.7% in year two, and another 1.7% in year three. In addition, all workers will receive a signing bonus of $25.
Language improvements address bereavement leave and new language establishes policies preventing non-bargaining unit employees from performing bargaining unit work.
