Compass Group Conestoga members merge agreements and ratify new deal

The members employed by Compass Group at Conestoga College campuses in Guelph and Kitchener ratified a three-year agreement on December 18 & 19, 2022. Wages will increase by $2.60 over the term of the agreement with an increase every 6 months.
Benefit improvements include an increase to eye exam coverage from $50 to $80, an increase to vison care allowance from $200 to $250 and an increase to dental maximum amount from $1000 to $1500.
Other language improvements include the addition of two Personal Leave days, uniform allowance increases from $60 to $70 and vacation entitlement improvements.
These members were happy to see the two CBAs merged (Doon and Guelph) into one as it will improve with their time off for vacation and the power in numbers of their bargaining unit.
