Comfort Inn Kenora achieves first collective agreement.

On March 26, 2021 the members from Comfort Inn, Kenora ratified their first collective agreement.
Following the date of ratification increases are as follows: Year 1 – 1.5%, Year 2 – 1.5% and year 3 – 2%. There will be a $1.00 premium for lead hand, night audit, and trainers. Red-circled employees will receive a lump sum payment. Better overtime language was also achieved.
A new benefit plan will be provided and funded 100% by the employer.
Language was added to include just cause protection, a sunset clause on discipline, union representation and training.
