Coca Cola members in Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie ratify a new deal

On September 12, 2021 Local 175 Coca-Cola members in Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie ratified a six-year agreement. Wage increases are as follows: Date of Ratification – $500 lump sum payment, per hour increases are: Year 2 – $.70, Year 3- $.75, Year 4 – $.80, Year 5- $.80 and Year 6 – $.82. New language will also be added to allow for banking overtime.
The workers pension will remain in Coca Cola Refreshment Company Employees Retirement and the weekly income benefits will increase to $595 a month up from $550.
Clothing and safely shoe allowance is now paid every year instead of every two years.
New language was negotiated to provide that if a steward is not present at a discipline meeting the discipline is null and void, and a new time frame will be established for being reassigned to a job after it’s posted.
