Chartwell Meadowbrook Retirement Residence ratifies new three year deal

The members at Chartwell CSH Meadowbrook Retirement Residences in Lively ratified a new collective agreement on March 25, 2021. Workers across all rates and classifications will receive annual wage increases of 2%. At the date of ratification cooks will receive an extra 1% and part-time members will receive an extra $.15 per hour. The night shift premium will also increase. RRSP matching by the employer will increase to 2% up from 1%.Chartwell Meadowbrook Retirement Residence ratifies new three year deal.

New language regarding sick pay for full-time will be based on hours rather than days. If a member needs to leave early, they will now be able to use only the hours they actually miss, rather than having to use an entire sick day.

New uniform language will allow members to select which new pieces of the uniform (shirt, pants, etc.) they will receive annually.
