CFB in Trenton ratifies new collective agreement

Members at Canadian Forces Base in Trenton ratified a three-year collective agreement on August 29, 2023.
Year one increases for all members will amount to 3% to 17.68%, depending on which pay band members are in, Year 2 – 2%, Year 3 – 2%. Increase will be retroactive to December 31, 2022 which will result in retroactive payments ranging from $1000 – $4000 depending on members pay band. There will also be a scale for future increases when federal minimum wage increases.
Language improvements include:
- Improved travel expenses as per NPP travel directive.
- Part-time vacation pay to increase to 4.6%.
- Paid family related responsibilities to now include personal leave.
- Ability to bank overtime up to 40 hours and replenish unlimited.
- NEW – When the death of one of the family members in the list occurs while an employee is on shift and the employee is notified while at work, they shall be entitled to leave work with pay for the remainder of their shift without any such remainder of the shift being considered the first day of bereavement leave pay.
