Celebrating and Saving Lives!

For as long as there has been a Leukemia Payroll Deduction program, Colleen Cox Executive Board Vice President, has been organizing a fundraising party for Metro #106. This year was no different and on October 27th a Hallowe’en party was held at Melanie Pringles in Whitby.

The store that raises the most in the payroll deduction program is awarded $1000 to be used towards a party.  Colleen used the money to both reward the winning store and to further fundraise for Leukemia. It wasn’t just members from store 106 who attended but other members from Rexall and Food Basics in the area joined in as well. There was food, dancing and a contest for the best costume with door prizes. A good time was had by all. This year the party raised $3020 for lifesaving research.

A very special thank you to Colleen who puts so much effort and time into organizing this event every year. You are saving lives!
