Bayfield House ratifies in Midland securing wage increases and amalgamates collective agreements
Bayfield House Retirement Lodge members in Midland unanimously ratified a two-year agreement on Feb 12, 2024.
The members will receive a general wage increase of 7% over the term of the agreement with increases every six months. The starting rate was deleted with the three-month rate becoming the new start rate. A new weekend premium will be introduced at $.10/hour for all hours worked.
The vision care allowance will increase by $50 from $185 to $235 every two years.
Prior to the ratification of this agreement, the dietary and housekeeping staff were represented by UFCW but had their own separate collective agreement. With the ratification of this agreement, these workers will be streamlined into one collective agreement.
