Atikokan Foodland ratifies new collective agreement

The members in Atikokan at Foodland have a new four-year agreement that was ratified on January 10, 2023. These workers will receive increases of $.50/hour in each year of the term. The progression hours will be reduced by 2000 and there will be a training premium of $.50/hour.
Other language improvements include that the part-time sick payout will increase from 65% to 75%, the pant allowance will increase to $40.00 twice per year up from $20.00 and step-children and grandchildren will be added to bereavement leave entitlement.
