Aramark members at the Salvation Army in Toronto ratify three-year agreement

On December 23, 2020, Union members employed by Aramark at the Salvation Army in Toronto achieved a new agreement.
Wages for the members at Aramark at the Salvation Army improve by more than 2.6% in year one, another 2.6% in year two, and 3% in year three.
Language improvements will see paid breaks increase to 15 minutes instead of 10. Members also benefit from an improved footwear allowance of $100 per year, up from $50.
Bereavement entitlement improves to provide four days’ leave, up from three, for immediate family members. In addition, grandparents and grandchildren are now included under that four-day classification.
Language that previously restricted health and welfare benefits to those 65 years of age or younger has been removed. Lastly, the Aramark agreement will now reflect gender neutral language throughout.
