On May 27, 2023, the annual UFCW Locals 175 & 633 Golf Tournament took place in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC). Every year, golfers, sponsors and friends come together to raise money to help end the fight against childhood blood cancers.

A total of 144 golfers participated in this year’s tournament. Through entry fees, donations and sponsorships, the tournament raised $16,823

Golfers were blessed with a beautiful day with minimal wind and lots of sunshine “The weather couldn’t have been better, we really lucked out,” said President Haggerty. “It was a perfect day for a golf tournament.”

All proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada in hopes of ending childhood blood cancers. Visit bloodcancers.ca for more information on the LLSC’s important work and how your support helps improve the lives of blood cancer patients and their families.

“On behalf of Locals 175 & 633 and the LLSC, thank you to all our golfers and sponsors for your participation and for your generous donations,” said President Haggerty.

UFCW Locals 175 & 633 is proud to organize fundraising events for the LLSC, which has been the charity of choice for UFCW since the mid-1980s.

Throughout our partnership with the LLSC, UFCW Canada members have raised more than $49 million over the past 40 years.

We hope to get back to holding more of our regular fundraising events in person this year and moving forward.
