Anamet Canada ratifies to achieve wage increases and paid sick days with new collective agreement.

Anamet Canada ratifies

Anamet Canada Inc. in Frankford ratified a new collective agreement with a three-year term on June 8, 2024. Members will receive wage increase of 12.5% for all rates and progressions over the term of the agreement. Premiums will also increase for afternoon shift from $0.75 to $0.80 per hour, night shift from $1.00 to $1.10 per hour, and lead hand premium from $0.50 to $0.75 per hour.

Other monetary improvements include an increase to the paramedical services allowance from $300 to $400 and vision care coverage from $325 to $400 every 24 months. There will also be an increase to the safety boot allowance from $200 to $250 per calendar year.

New language was achieved to provide that active employees with six months of full-time service will have two paid sick days each calendar year at 80% of their applicable rate.

The Letter of Understanding regarding the Training and Education fund will be renewed.
