Hospitality members in Thunder Bay ratify new agreement
The members at Towneplace Suites by Marriott in Thunder Bay ratified a new four-year contract on May 12, 2023. Members will see wage increases of 14.25% over the 4-year term as follows: Year 1 – 6.75%, Year 2 – 2.5%, Year 3 – 2.5% and Year 4 – 2.5%.
Other language improvements include:
- Members will receive a floater day in 2024 and another in 2025 for a total of two.
- For bereavement, grandparent and grandchild will be added to the list of three days entitlement and there will be delayed interment language.
- The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Remembrance Day will be added to the list of holidays.
