On August 14, 2011, workers at Primo Foods in Etobicoke voted in favour of ratifying a final offer made by the company. The 67-member bargaining unit turned down a previous final offer in July. The four-year collective agreement includes the following improvements:
  • Wages increase by 20 cents per hour in each of the first, second and third years of the contract term and 25 cents per hour in the final year of the collective agreement.
  • The company will contribute 22 cents per hour to the Canadian Commercial Workers Industry Pension Plan (CCWIPP) Stabilization in addition to its regular contributions on behalf of the workers.
